Changelog
A dated record of real changes to PlainFlights's dataset and site: data refreshes, enrichments, and corrections. See the editorial & corrections policy for how reports are verified. We never backfill or invent an entry, an empty gap between dates means nothing changed.
PlainFlights launched on March 8, 2026 with BTS flight on-time performance data, and was most recently refreshed on May 15, 2026. See the methodology page for how the dataset is built.
- Trust
Added a contextual "report a data issue" link to every data page, pre-addressed and pre-filled with the page you came from, so corrections take one click instead of a blank email.
- Enrichment
Fixed the Delay Predictor and Best Time to Fly tools so their parameterized result pages (origin/destination/airline/month combinations) are excluded from the search index, keeping the site focused on the routes and airports Google should actually crawl.
- Enrichment
Fixed duplicated key-metric figures on airport, state, airline, and route detail pages, and added an InnerHero to the on-time and most-delayed rankings pages.
- Data refresh
Refreshed the full flight performance dataset against the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) on-time performance records.
- Launch
PlainFlights launched with BTS flight on-time performance data covering routes, airports, and airlines.
